IGET Vape Facts vs Myths: Puff Counts, Charging, Safety and Access

IGET products are often discussed through short social-media claims that mix hardware facts with assumptions about health and legality. The fastest way to avoid misinformation is to separate what the manufacturer publishes from what requires independent health or regulatory evidence.

Myth: Every IGET vape is rechargeable

False. Charging support depends on the model. The original IGET Bar manufacturer page, for example, lists a built-in battery but no charging port, while Bar Plus families explicitly list Type-C charging. Never open a sealed device to add a charging connection.

Myth: The puff number is exact for everyone

False. Puff counts are manufacturer/model ratings based on a defined draw pattern. Draw length, frequency and power mode can change real-world duration.

Myth: A genuine product is automatically safe

False. Authentication helps identify the product but does not prove that inhaling its aerosol is harmless. Health claims require a different evidence standard from product-authentication claims.

Myth: Mesh coil means medically safer

False. Mesh describes the geometry of the heating element. It can affect heating surface and product experience, but it is not a medical safety certification.

Myth: Any closed IGET can be refilled with another liquid

False. Closed disposables are not designed to be opened, refilled with improvised substances or rewired. Modification can damage seals and expose the battery.

Myth: Therapeutic regulation means TGA approval

False. The TGA states that therapeutic vapes are unapproved therapeutic goods and have not been evaluated like products included in the ARTG.

Myth: If a vape is online, ordinary retail sale must be lawful

False in Australia. Current TGA supply guidance restricts lawful supply to pharmacy settings for therapeutic purposes.

Bottom line

Use official model specifications for hardware facts, current government guidance for legal access and health sources for health questions. Mixing those categories is how most vape myths arise.
