Iget Bar

Can You Recharge the Original IGET Bar 3500?

The original IGET Bar 3500 should not be treated as a rechargeable device. The current IGET Bar manufacturer page lists a 1400mAh battery, 1.2Ω mesh coil and up-to-3500-puff rating, but it does not list a charging port or charging function.

Why the model name matters

IGET has released several products with “Bar” in the name. Original IGET Bar, Bar Pro, Bar Plus and later Bar Plus generations are different devices. Advice for a Bar Plus with a Type-C port should not be applied to an original Bar 3500 just because both contain the word “Bar”.

Do not open the device to reach the battery

A closed disposable contains a lithium battery, heating element and reservoir inside a compact housing. Opening the case, exposing wires or attaching power directly to battery terminals can create short-circuit, fire, chemical-exposure and injury risks.

What if the battery stops before the device is empty?

Do not try to bypass the electronics. If an original Bar 3500 no longer operates, treat it as an end-of-life battery product. A device that is swollen, leaking, cracked or unusually hot should also be taken out of use.

Which IGET models are designed for charging?

Some later IGET families explicitly list Type-C charging in the manufacturer specifications. Check the exact model name and its official parameter page before connecting a cable. The IGET series guide separates older closed devices from Bar Plus and pod-system models.

Disposal

Do not place an embedded lithium battery in ordinary household rubbish or recycling. Australian product-safety guidance recommends using an appropriate battery/e-waste disposal pathway. See the ACCC lithium-ion battery guide and local council options.

Bottom line

If you have the original IGET Bar 3500 and there is no manufacturer-designed charging port, do not attempt to recharge it. Identify the exact model first; charging instructions for Bar Plus or another rechargeable IGET are not interchangeable.
